About European Handball
A team sport that combines elements of basketball, soccer and hockey, European Handball requires players to pass, dribble and shoot the ball. The sport involves two teams of seven players โ six court players and a goalie. In matches of two 30-minute periods, players must attempt to score the most points while the goalkeeper defends the goal. Court players must not touch the ball with their feet. Handball offers an opportunity to spend time with friends and promote physical activity.
